How to get a baby box ?

The easiest way to get a baby box for newborns — write a statement directly in the maternity hospital. The already assembled package of the baby is received by the woman in labor on the first day after the birth of the child or at discharge.

 

To monetize a baby box or receive it outside a medical institution, it is important not to miss the time and within the first month from the date of delivery, contact the state for one-time assistance. To do this, you need to:

 

• Get «PrivatBank» Debit Card named «Baby Box» (if you get a ready-made baby box, you do not need to open a bank account).
• Submit an application of the established form for one-time assistance to the department for social protection of the population (at the place of residence) or to the executive body of the territorial community.
• It is also necessary to provide the following documents: a certificate from the maternity hospital that the family did not receive one-time in-kind assistance, a copy of the child's birth certificate, passport and insurancs codes of parents (guardians, adoptive parents, adoptive parents).

 

Within 5 days from the date of applying to the social protection authorities, the data provided is checked. In case of their compliance with the stated requirements, material compensation is credited to the card. It is necessary to spend the allocated funds within a year from the date of their receipt.

Who can't get the baby box ?

Family will not receive the Baby Package in the following cases:

 

• parents officially abandoned the child, and the baby remained in the hospital;
• infant died during childbirth.

 

Special compensation will also be denied if:

 

• family has already received a baby box in the form of a ready-made box;
• the child is in prison at the time of his birth.

 

If the mother is left in a medical institution for additional treatment upon discharge from the hospital, the baby package is left in a medical institution; is received by the child's father or legal guardian.
