Acrylic is a special material, often referred to as artificial wool. Things made of acrylic threads are soft and retain heat well. Acrylic does not absorb moisture well and dries quickly, hypoallergenic. This material is perfectly painted, keeping color for a long time. The cotton used in the manufacture of the blanket will allow the material to "breathe" and neutralize the inability of acrylic to absorb moisture.
