The Snow Star sled is controlled by two separate hand brakes located on the sides of the snow scooter. This model is made of durable, frost-resistant plastic, with stiffening ribs. The seat has a shape that prevents the child from slipping. The brakes of this model are completely plastic. The durable rope-handle of the Snow Star sled can be used as a handle when riding downhill, as well as for lifting the sled up the hill.
