Wonder Workshop’s Dot robot is a small brain that will turn programming into exciting game. It comes with several exciting games on board - Magic Dot Ball, Dot of Music and Light Sword - and with the help of special applications you can create your own games and entertainment programs. There is no need to read thick manuals - the training is based on simple interesting tasks. Dots gives children the ability to create their own games and gadgets and is suitable for use in age groups 5+. The Wonder app is an easy way to turn your robot into any gadget your child can imagine. The Dots programming language is designed specifically for children and is based on pictures - the kid will be able to figure out coding even before he learns to read! To gradually increase the complexity of the tasks and keep the child's interest in smart mechanical creation, Wonder Workshop created 4 variants of applications with increasing difficulty for the educational toy.
Dot the robot is a puzzle toy. It has a lot of elements - setodiods, a speaker, an accelerator and a lot of sensors, combining which you can create amazing things. For example, Dots is great at simulating a ticking alarm or can go on an exciting exploration around the house using remote control. Dots is not alone - it works great together with the "robo-brother" Dash. By combining the capabilities of robots, you can make unique and interesting games and gadgets.
There are fun accessories for Dot (sold separately): bunny ears, hook and LEGO connector. The robot is charged and ready to work out of the box. The battery of the device lasts for 5 hours of play or 30 days in standby mode. No need to spend money on batteries - Dot is charged from a computer, laptop or adapter via USB.
Full functionality will help to reveal applications from the developer, Dot works through 3 of them:
• Go is a starter application that allows you to explore all the functions of the robot from start to finish. Children will be able to come up with a new game, teach robots to wink, respond to voice, sing, and so on.
• Wonder is a more advanced application with which a child can turn a robot into a robotic pet or, more importantly, a friend. At this level of programming, robots are already gaining distinctive character traits and individual abilities.
• Blocky is an advanced application that includes learning a programming language through fun puzzles. Children will be able to set complex algorithms and motion cycles, control robot sensors, and so on. To do this, you need to arrange the blocks in the desired sequence and run the program.
