A breed of sporting dog trained to detect and retrieve dead or injured water birds, pheasants. Distributed in Canada, introduced to England in the early 19th century. Height at the withers is about 56 cm, weight is 25-32 kg. Labradors have a short and extremely thick coat of black, yellow, chocolate color.
