A family of cats. Snow leopards can be found in northern India, in states bordering the Himalayan and Central Asian republics. They have powerful legs and can jump up to 15 m. They feed on sheep, goats, deer and other mammals. Each litter contains 1-5 pups, after a gestation period of 98-103 days. Snow leopards reach 1-1.3 m in length (head and body) and tail 80-100 cm. The spots on the leopard's fur are arranged in clear rows.
