Family Bovidae. The Angora or “Turkish goat” is a domesticated animal with a very long, silky hair  and fairly thick hair. The original Angora goats come from the Angora region of Turkey. They have been known since about 1000 BC and even earlier.  Both males and females have horns. It feeds on any open vegetation. The gestation period is 150 days.
