Family Anatidae. In the wild, it can live up to 35 years. Swans mate for life. It can reach 1.5 m in length and weigh up to 13.5 kg. The eastern hemisphere is considered its homeland, but now domesticated birds live in most of Europe and North America. The diet includes underwater plants and coastal grasses. Females lay 3-7 whitish or brownish eggs, incubate them for 30-35 days.
