Family Leporidae. Rabbits are distributed throughout the world. It weighs about 1-5 kg and reaches a length of about 30-60 cm; it usually feeds at night, mainly on herbs, tree bark and vegetables. Rabbits prefer to live in regions where the soil is loose and dry and where shrubs offer shelter. The rabbit brings 4-8 litters per year, with 3-8 cubs. The gestation period lasts about a month. Its service life is up to 10 years.
